So Long and Thanks for all the Fish....
O.k., I know that's not original.....but how do I wrap things up and say goodbye to this blog?
As you can see I haven't been writing as often lately and this is partly because I have lost my anonymity. This makes it more and more difficult to share my real thoughts and vent about the things that make me truly angry. Which was the entire point of this blog in the first place. It was my place. My place to find and share the humor of my situation. To find a way to deal.
The saga of the doctors continues (they have now ruled out MS but have no idea what is causing the deteriorating neurological problems) and I am sure that I will find new ways and new places to share about the experience. I am not disappearing entirely. I have made many friends through this blog over the past few years and will continue to frequent their blogs and messageboards (but perhaps under a different pseudonym). I will also continue to recieve email. The people I wish to stay in touch with will always be welcome to send an email. My real readership was always a ray of sunshine to my day. Your comments and encouragement have meant a great deal over the past years. Thank you all for being the best readership a blogger could hope for.

great work

Dear Gimpy, I'm deeply saddened by your descision to "hang-up your pen"; I understand how important anonymity is and how much it allowed you to speak your mind. Should you reach this point in these comments, know that I've always considered you a friend, albeit a distant one. Please drop me a note at my site, or my personal email if you get a minute. You'll always find a friend at "Chronic Pain Lifestyle". I'd hate to lose touch. God bless, colinsu@msn.com

Sorry to see you close your blog. I wasn't here often but I always enjoyed reading what you had to say. Good luck with everything you do in the future. :)

Oh Mumpy I am bereft, but understand and am sorry it got to be like that. You have always been special and will continue to be in my thoughts. I like to feel you are around in the blogosphere and visiting occasionally. If you do re-emerge, I shall be there.
May the road rise with you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine soft upon your face
And the rain fall gently at your feet
'Till we meet again, may God hold you,
in the hollow of Her hand.

Mumpy, I'm really sorry to read that you're closing your blog. I can understand your reasons, and I find it hard to write on the internet where I don't have anonymity, where people who know me might read it without telling me. But Becca does make a good point, you have a right to state your opinions and views and let people know what makes you angry. You have not put anything here that you can't be proud of, and if anyone gives you a hard time about it, this isn't the time to keep quiet...Turn the tables and let us know who it is!
Hope to see you around.

Oh Mumpy! Thats ever so sad you are leaving this great blog! I hope that we can keep in touch some other way, either by emails or something as I enjoyed visiting here and I have only found out you are laeving the blog behind.
I suppose I have done that too, and my blog has been most by Blogger as they have updated it and I no longer see it on my new dashboard. I might write it out again, I'll see.
Write me an email and give me your email address , you were once one of my great blog pals and I shall never want to lose contact with you, as you were a great blog pal!

Sorry to hear the news. But even if you don't continue the blog, at least leave it up. It would be a real shame if it disappeared from the web. I got a nice warm and fuzzy feeling from the title of the post. I'm a Douglas Adams fan from way back (circa early 1980s). Good luck to you.

Hey, I still don't know who you are, so your secret identity hasn't been completely compromised.
Whatever you do, don't stop writing. You're too good.

Oh, Gimpy, I'm so sorry you've been outed and you feel you have to stop blogging! Please find a new pseudonym and burst upon the disability blogosphere again!

I have never commented on your blog, but have been a long time reader. Thank you for all you have written, and good luck with life!

Well, damn. Your blogging will definitely be missed. I do hope to see you commenting here and there. And I'm keeping your link on my site. So there.

I don't think I've ever commented either but I've been reading you for several months. Going to miss your blog. Take Care.

Strewth, that's bad news, Mumpy. I'm really sorry to hear a) that you've been 'outed' and b) that you feel that this means you cannot blog here any more. I hope that the cause of a) knows how much hurt and damage they have produced, and that you perhaps reconsider b) over time. You do not have to be anonymous to say how you feel, even if it might upset people - you own your words and your truth and have every right to share them, under your own name if you so choose.
Take care of yourself - I hope I'll run into you again on the blogosphere sometime soon.

So sorry to read that you are shutting up the blog. Let us know if/when you get a new site so we can link to it. All the best.

This is the first comment I'm posting here. However I read it always. I wanted to write something here but I did feel like. Now I should...
See ya soon somewhere else...

Goodness Mumpy. Your blog was one of the first blogs I ever looked at, and has since remained been one of my favourites.
Thanks for everything you have shared with us over the last two years. Look forward to seeing you in the future, if in a cunning disguise... ;-)
